Boise WaterShed Environmental Education Center
The Boise WaterShed Environmental Education Center promotes water stewardship through high-tech, hands-on exhibits using humor to entertain, science to amaze, and visuals that are sure to make a splash! Located at the West Boise Wastewater Treatment Facility, the LEED-certified building also features a library, a theater, and amazing artwork.
Open Monday - Friday, 9:30 am – 4:30 pm and every third Saturday from 10:00 am - 2:00 pm. Visitors can drop in to the Boise WaterShed for self-guided exhibit hall tours. Wastewater treatment plant tours are offered on WaterShed Weekend program days.
Admission is FREE!
WaterShed Wednesday Drop In Program - Biomes of the World
Dive into fun at the Boise WaterShed on Wednesdays in June, July and August from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for free all-ages activities, arts and crafts, and scientific demonstrations in the exhibit hall! This week’s theme is Biomes of the World. Explore our great planet with crafts that represent different areas where creatures live!
eARThwork at the WaterShed - Water Creatures in Watercolors
Artists and Scientists team up to provide free summer art classes that reflect the science of our watershed. Join Helen Grainger Wilson and Dr. Monte Wilson for “Water Creatures in Watercolors”. This class is appropriate for ages 8-14.
